Singer was born on 26 November 1986, at Santa Monica California. The father of the singer, Vincenzo Barba is her mother Valerie Barba. Her family and she moved from Point Pleasant, New Jersey when she was 6. In New Jersey, she finished her education at Red Bank Catholic High School. Then she attended Catholic University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in architecture. From the age of 4, she began to play the violin and earned the title Violin Girl. Due to her musical performances, she became known as Violin Girl. She was also a violin teacher for the kids in the region. At the age of 19 she entered into the 6th American Idol season and performed one single Free 1976. The singer was eliminated after she reached the 16th spot in American Idol.
