Simone Biles

 Simone Arianne Biles (/sI’moUn ‘baI@lz14 March 1997; 4) is an American gymnast who is artistic. Shannon Miller holds the record for the most Olympic medals awarded by an American gymnast, with seven. Biles is also the equal ninth in total. With 25 World Championship medals won, Biles is the highest-ranked gymnast from the time of the Gymnastics World Championships. Many believe that she may be the best gymnast of all time. Joe Biden awarded Biles the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2022. Biles won individual gold medals in Rio de Janeiro's 2016 Summer Olympics. Bronze on the balance beam, vault, and all-around were her prizes. Biles also won bronze as part of the United States Team, which was known as the "Final Five". Biles was unable to participate in the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics due to "the twisties" the air balance disorder which temporarily impairs her ability to control her balance. As part of the US team she won the balance beam medal and a silver. The judges were impressed with her partial withdrawal, mental and physical fitness focus, endurance, as well as her determination to remain safe. She is also a five-time World all-around champion (2013-15 and 2018-19) as well as five times World floor exercise champion (2013)-2015 and 2018-2019) and three times World balance beam champion (2014)-2015 and 2019,) Two times World vault champion (2018) and was a member the gold-winning American teams at all four World Artistic Gymnastics Championships (2014, 2015, 2018, 2018 and 2019). She is also a three time World silver medalist (2013 and 2014 on vault, and 2018-2019 on uneven bars, 2018-2019 on uneven) and three times World bronze medalist (1915 on vault as well as 2013 on balance beam, and 2018-2019 on vault).

Biles is the gymnast who earned the most World gold medals (19) and World medals (25) in the world. She also surpasses Vitaly Scherbo's record of 23 World medals. Biles won her 24thplace and 25th and both gold at Stuttgart's competition in 2019. [8] Biles is the only female gymnast who has earned the most World all around titles (5). She's the sixth woman to earn an individual all-around title in both the World Championships and the Olympics and is the first gymnast since Lilia Podkopayeva in the year 1996 to hold both titles concurrently. She is the 10th American female gymnast, and the first American female gymnast to be awarded a World medal for every event and was the first female gymnast since Daniela Silivas (1988), to be awarded a medal at every Olympic Games or World Championships. Biles was born on March 14 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. She is the fourth of her siblings. Shanon Biles, her birth mother, couldn't care for Simone and her other kids, Adria, Ashley, or Tevin. The four children were all placed in foster care. In 2000, Biles' maternal grandfather, Ron Biles, and his second wife, Nellie Cayetano, began taking care of Shanon's children in the northern Houston suburb of Spring, Texas, after finding out that his grandchildren been placed in foster care. They took in Simone and Adria Biles, her younger sister in 2003. Ron's sister, Shanon's aunt Harriet adopted the two oldest children. Biles has Belizean citizenship through her adoptive mother . Biles calls Belize as her second home. Biles and her family are Catholic.
